The ProGlove wearable scanner solutions are designed to enhance worker efficiency by enabling hands-free operation, thereby increasing both scanner-based and overall productivity. When integrated with Apple Watch devices, users in warehouse, airport, and manufacturing environments benefit from complete mobility along with continuous workflow guidance.

Connect

• Establish a connection between your ProGlove scanner and the Apple Watch by selecting the “Connect” option. A QR code will be displayed, which can be easily scanned to complete the pairing process.

Features

• The “Features” section provides detailed information about scanned barcodes (“Scan”) and offers various options for remote control of the ProGlove scanner. The “Worker Feedback” feature allows process feedback—such as “Success” or “Error”—to be reflected on both the Apple Watch and the scanner. Additionally, visual and auditory cues from RGB lights, buzzers, and sounds facilitate clear communication to the worker for seamless task progression.
• Activating the “Button” toggle enables the selected Worker Feedback to be triggered through double-tapping the wearable’s trigger. This enhancement expands interaction capabilities beyond barcode scanning, supporting confirmation tasks, error reporting, communication with automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and activation of additional scanner functions.
• The “Silent Profile” setting allows customization of the scanner profile to suit specific environmental requirements, minimizing distractions and optimizing usability.

Pick

• This module simulates order picking within a warehouse context, where mobility and dexterity are crucial advantages. The user interface displays real-time information regarding order status, item locations, descriptions, and quantities, aided by color-coded guidance to indicate next steps.
• To maximize flexibility during demos, any barcode can be scanned to proceed through workflows. An initial barcode confirms the correct location; subsequent scans verify individual item picks. Tapping on an item line can display the item's image for visual confirmation. Quantities can be adjusted by double-tapping the wearable trigger or pressing the Apple Watch action button or directly modifying values via an on-screen menu. This approach demonstrates a seamless workflow accommodating both standard interactions through the scanner and exception handling via the smartwatch interface.

Sort

• The “Sort” scenario models baggage handling at airports under strenuous conditions demanding ergonomic practices. Hands-free operation facilitated by ProGlove and Apple Watch enhances efficiency while promoting worker safety.
• This case features three luggage examples requiring different handling procedures, each accompanied by synchronized feedback cues on both devices. Any barcode can be scanned to represent various baggage codes. The Apple Watch screen displays detailed instructions, such as assignment to specific flights (e.g., “LH402 – LAX”).
• The system identifies whether baggage is ready for processing, requires priority handling (e.g., Aircraft On Ground), or is incorrectly assigned (not part of the current tour). Confirmation steps—either double-tapping the ProGlove trigger or pressing the Apple Watch action button—ensure deliberate processing of sensitive or incorrect items.
